Citizens or permanent residents of the US do not require passports or visas to enter Canada and can usually cross the US-Canada border without difficulty or delay. However, to enter Canada and then to re-enter the US, native-born US citizens must carry identification papers showing their citizenship, such as a passport, birth certificate with photo ID, or voter's registration card with photo ID. A driver's license will usually not suffice. Proof of residence in the US may also be required. Naturalized US citizens must carry a passport or naturalization certificate or some other evidence of US citizenship with photo ID. Permanent residents of the US who are not US citizens must carry their Resident Alien Card ("green card").

You should purchase bus tickets before boarding the bus.

Overseas flights arrive at Mirabel International Airport (YMX), 56 kilometres (35 miles) from downtown Montréal. Reliable, frequent bus transportation to the Queen Elizabeth Hotel costs about C$13.00, while taxi fare can run as high as C$70.00. Again you should purchase bus tickets before boarding the bus.
