ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr. Victor Zurkowski is a technical consultant with experience in Predictive Modeling, Data Mining, and Clustering applied to Marketing. Since 2001 he has worked at Generation5, where he has lead projects for retail, service, and financial industries. He holds advanced degrees in Mathematics and Statistics from leading North-American universities. Dr. Zurkowski brings to projects several years of experience in Statistical Analysis, the ability to frame business problems technically and to determine the leading edge analytic tools that best leverage data to solve each problem.
ABSTRACT
Generation5 business is founded on three pillars: databases, data-mining software, and marketing consulting. As a statistician working at G5, I have access to the three aspects of the business. I will present an example of how G5 tools are currently applied. I will also show how theoretical results from non-parametric regression relate to our work at G5.
