You may work collaboratively on problem sets, but
be sure to indicate on your assignment
who you have worked with; similar weird answers will
be treated suspiciously.
In general homework is due at 5 PM on Mondays, in a dropbox on
avenue to learn; if you
find the dropbox for a particular assignment isn't set up,
please let me know.
In general homework should be submitted as an R script (where
appropriate) or an R markdown (R+markdown) or Sweave (R+LaTeX)
file (the latter cases will be relevant if you want to include figures,
mathematics, or long explanations in your assignment. Microsoft
Word submissions will be rejected.
For derivation in ex 10.1, you can either write the solution
out in LaTeX; write it out in text (e.g. prod(L) =
C(N,k)*p^k*(1-p)^(N-k));
or write your solution out, take a photo, and submit it.
