I will give you more time for the test and the same for uploading: so the test will be 60 min long and uploading will be 30 min long. I will adjust the test times for SAS accordingly.

To recap, you will receive an e-mail from crowdmark at 5:25pm on Monday. Once you start the test, you will have 1h25 min to finish submitting all your answers: 60 min for the test and 30 min for uploading, so it should be all over by 7pm (SAS excepted.) As uploading takes time, you should stick to this time frame. There will be three questions, one of which is a True and False, so you should upload 3 pdf/jpeg files, one per question and each should be uploaded at the correct place to have your copies graded.

As for test 1, by 5:30pm on Monday March 22nd, you will receive an email from Crowdmark with a link to the test. Once you click on the button “Start the assessment now” you will have until 6:50pm in which to do the problems (50 minutes for the test), scan them to PDF (or JPEG,) and upload them to Crowdmark (30 minutes.) (SAS students excepted.) There should be one pdf (jpeg) file per question and they should be uploaded at the appropriate place, otherwise we cannot grade them. Late submissions will be penalized per minute past the deadline. As it takes time to create pdf/jpeg and upload your solutions, you should keep the timeline as above.

The material for Test#2 is everything from the Test #1 until and including series solutions, i.e. until the material from Monday’s lecture (with examples continued on Wednesday.) This means that the material starts from homogeneous 2nd order linear constant coefficients ODE’s, until Frobenious method including regular/irregular singular points. In Zill’s book it is the material related to Sections 4.1-4.4, 4.6, 4.7, 5.1, 6.1, 6.2, and 6.3. In Trench, it is Sections 5.2, 9.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.7, 6.1, 6.2, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 and 7.5 (see the “Plan”) You are responsible for all the material presented in class, as well as the practice problems, webassign and Kritik assignments. (See “Practice pb” page.)

The next Midterm is on Monday March 22nd, so I have posted a new Kritik assignment due next Saturday March 20th with the goal that you can see the anwers on Sunday morning March 21st. The evaluation part will be due on the following Sunday March 28 and the feedback on Tuesday March 30th.

As announced in class and by popular demand, the Kritik assignemnt #3 has been extended by one day. So it is now due on Monday night 11pm and the evaluation and feed back are both also extended by one day.

The next Kritik assignment is now available. The Creation phase is due Sunday March 7th.

Webassign HW 5 is due later today and Webassign Hw6 will be posted and due “as usual” the following Friday (March 5th) at 11pm, but it will be short.

I will be posting a new Kritik assignment and will announce it on the website as soon as it is available.

They are postponed till tomorrow 11pm
