Assignments
and computer labs
There will
be 5 assignments and 5 computer labs for the course. All
assignments and computer labs will be submitted through the course
online assignment system. Your
assignments are due on Sept. 14, Sept 26, Oct. 17, Nov. 3 and Nov. 21
by midnight. Your computer labs are due on Sept. 19, Oct. 3, Oct.
24, Nov. 7 and Nov. 28 also by midnight.
In order to do your computer labs, you must use Matlab, version 7 or
higher. Matlab
can be purchased directly from Mathworks
or from the campus bookstore (a student version can be purchased for
about $100). Matlab is also installed in all UTS
computer labs. To access Matlab, look under the Faculty and
Department Apps on the Start Menu.
You are not required to attend computer tutorials but there are TAs
available who
can help with your computer labs. The TAs will be in the BSB computer labs on the second floor from
2:30 - 6:30 on Wednesdays and 2:30 - 8:30 on Thursdays in the weeks that the computer
labs are due. A list of TAs, the rooms they are in, and their availability can be found here.
