MATH HELP CENTRE HOURS DURING THE FALL TERM

Math Help Center is open in the summer. The specific date it opens and time of the availability will be posted later. Come whenever you wish, and stay as long as you need. From time to time, hours might be extended, or an extra room might be used - check the Math Help Centre's web page.

 MATH 1LS3 TEACHING ASSISTANTS' OFFICE HOURS

You are welcome to any Math 1LS3 teaching assistant's office hour (during any time slot listed below). As well, you are welcome to work in the math help centre whenever the centre is open (TAs for other first year courses might be there, and might be able to help you).

  RULES FOR RECLAIMING TESTS

Identify when your TA will be in Math Help Centre (see tables below). You can reclaim your test during the days labeled 'test return' or any time afterward when your TA is scheduled to be in the Help Centre.

Look at the test solutions that are posted on this website; familiarize yourself with the solutions, or print them and bring a copy with you. Also, bring your student ID card, or any other picture ID; your TA will check your ID before giving you your test. Your friends, roommates, classmates, etc. cannot pick up the test for you.

After your TA gives you your test, go over it immediately - compare with solutions, make sure you're ok with the way questions are marked; check that the marks on the cover page are added correctly. If there is a problem, or you have questions, talk to your TA immediately. This is your only chance to discuss your test. Once you leave Math Help Centre room, you cannot come back to discuss it (not later that day, nor any other day; the only exception is a summation error on the cover page of the test).

[Note: rationale for this policy - we have had a number of students in previous years who would collect their test, take it home, change solutions/ answers, and then later bring their altered test to one of the TAs or instructors and claim that their tests were marked incorrectly. Such actions constitute a serious breach of academic integrity.]
