Research My research area is commutative algebra and its connection to other areas like combinatorics and algebraic geometry. I am interested in homological invariants, edge ideals, simplicial complexes, sets of points in (multi)-projective spaces, toric ideals, symbolic powers of ideals, Hadamard products, and combinatorial matrix theory.

At McMaster, I am part of the researc group Combinatorial Algebraic Geometry @McMaster. Check this link to find out more about our group, and information for potential graduate students. Here is a link to our Algebra and Algebraic Geometry Seminar

I am also a member of the Combinatorial Commutative Algebra in Canada, a Collaborative Research Group (CRG) supported by AARMS.

Teaching In 2025-26, I will be teaching the following courses:

  • Math 701 - Algebra I (Fall 2025)
  • Math 3G03 - Problem Solving (Winter 2026)

Conferences I am currently involved with the following conferences:

I was also one of the lead organizers of the recent
