Material for Test #3

The material for Test #3 will be everything from Test #2, including the Approximation of the Identity approach, up to Fourier Series. In terms of the “plan”, it is from the class of October 23rd (for the Approximation of the Identity approach) to the class of Monday November 29th. (It does not include the “fun” stuff on Euler’s approximation/Peano’s theorem.) It includes the topics covered from chapters 11 and 15, the notes on  the Approximation of the Identity (for Weierstrass approximation theorem,) the class materials and examples, and everything posted on the website including (of course) the practice problems.
