FFCR grant

I received my first research funding from the French government for the collaborative project “Morphologie des fissures et formes à durabilité optimale” with Eric Bonnetier of the Institut Fourier at Université Grenoble Alpes. The project deals with the impact of defects on crack nucleation and propagation, and on optimal design approaches to crack mitigation.

Many thanks to the administrators of the Fonds France-Canada pour la Recherche (France-Canada Research Funds), and the staff of Research Office for Administration, Development and Support (ROADS) at McMaster for the support and constructive review of a rather technical proposal written in French.
